ree

Hekari United FC has proudly returned home as the Runner-Up of the 2025 OFC Men’s Champions League, following a hard-fought campaign in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

The team put on a commanding performance throughout the tournament, beginning with a dominant 3-0 win over Solomon Islands champions Central Coast FC, followed by a 1-1 draw with Vanuatu’s Ifira Black Bird FC. They then surged past Cook Islands champions Tupapa Maraerenga FC with a stunning 9-0 victory, cementing their place in the knockout stage.

In the semi-final, Hekari faced New Caledonia’s champion club and edged through with a narrow but decisive 1-0 win, earning a historic place in the final.

The Grand Final was a tough contest against defending champions Auckland City FC of New Zealand. Despite a valiant effort from our boys, the match ended 2-0 in favour of Auckland, crowning them champions once again.

This achievement marks an incredible milestone for Hekari United FC, who proudly flew the flag for Papua New Guinea on the regional stage. The club thanks all fans, supporters, and partners for standing behind the team. We are proud of the fight, the heart, and the journey.

We are the 2025 OFC Men’s Champions League Runner-Up – and we’re just getting started.
